This page explains how to delete your UniBlud account and the data associated with it.
How to request deletion
There are two ways to request that your UniBlud account and its data are deleted:
- In the app: open Settings › Delete account, confirm, and your email app opens with a pre-filled deletion request. Send it.
- By email: email uniblud@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, asking us to delete your account.
We action deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account and email address
- Your timetable events, deadlines, study sessions and reminders
- Imported calendar sources, course tags and categories
- Custom links and your saved app settings
- Your profile, display name, profile photo and friend code
- Your social handles, course-mate connections and any events shared with others
- Any societies you own, and society verification applications you submitted
What is kept
- Data stored only on your device (such as saved emergency contacts) is never uploaded to us. It is removed when you uninstall the app, not by this request.
- Content posted to a society page that other students rely on (for example a published event) may remain visible where it is no longer tied to your identity.
- We may retain limited records where we are required to by law. These are not used for any other purpose.
Deleting some of your data, without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. From inside the app you can, at any time:
- Clear your calendar: Settings › Reset calendar permanently deletes all your events, deadlines, study sessions, reminders, imported timetables and course tags, on this device and in your account. Your account, profile and societies are kept.
- Remove your profile photo or social handles: edit or clear them on your course-mate profile.
- Stop being discoverable: turn off discoverability so your name, photo and course codes are no longer visible to other students.
- Remove a connection: disconnect from or block another student, which also removes any events shared between you.
If you want us to delete specific data that you cannot remove yourself, email uniblud@gmail.com from the address associated with your account and tell us what to delete. We action these requests within 30 days.
